Announcing Sage 50 Manufacturing 2009.
The latest release of Sages Manufacturing program includes a number of exciting customer driven features. The new release is compatible with Sage Accounts 2008 and 2009.- Link Works orders directly to a Sales order line item
Where customers aren't comfortable with MRP and dynamic tagging and perceive linked orders to be the easier to track on the shop floor. - Aggregation (Bucket optimisation)
A new algorithm creates time buckets only where there's a demand, customers can optimise procurement and reduce stockholding. - Due dates for netting off sales against forecasts
Sales forecasts and Sales orders are now netted off in weekly demand slots to provide a more accurate view of demands. - Make to stock (use exact quantities)
Ability to force MRP to ignore any free stock and inventory policies (use make to stock as an explicit amount). - Scrap finished items (Batch works orders)
This allows users to control which GRN's and related quantities are scrapped, preserving traceability. - Treatment of overdue orders in MRP
When a demand exists and MRP identifies that a purchase order has a due date that is prior to the MRP run date, the order is recommended for cancellation and a new purchase order is recommended. This can potentially lead to over-ordering / over-stocking.
An alert has now been added to notify the user that the original order is late. This gives the user the opportunity to retain the order which, on the next MRP run, will enable the due date to be extended where a delivery is still outstanding. - Replenishment horizon by product
The horizon has been a global setting, but now can be set on individual stock records. The default global setting rules when the individual stock setting is blank. This ensures that long lead time items are always ordered in good time without creating an unwieldy number of recommendations for items not yet due for ordering. - Change Margin% on stages and quantity breaks ( Estimating)
Currently estimating calculates the margin % based on the markup % and the total selling price. This new functionality enables users to vary the Margin%
